Chicken and Mushroom Philly

At The Trusted Kitchen, we believe that good food shouldn't cause harm to anyone's health. Unfortunately for people with allium allergies or intolerances, dining out or even cooking at home can be a risk due to the prevalence of garlic and onion based seasonings and spices. That's why we've created our own line of allium-free seasonings and spices, including our popular The Trusted Kitchen Poultry Seasoning. In this blog post, we'll share one of our favorite recipes using this seasoning: Chicken and Mushroom Philly Sandwich. Are you ready to take your sandwich game to the next level?

Ingredients (for two sandwiches):

- 2 boneless, skinless chicken breasts, thinly sliced

- 1/2 cup of sliced mushrooms

- sliced provolone cheese

- 1 bell pepper, sliced

- 2 tbsp of olive oil

-2 tbsp butter

- 1 tbsp soy sauce or tamari

- 1 tbsp balsamic vinegar

-1 tbsp brown sugar

- 1 tbsp of TTK Poultry Seasoning

-1 tsp salt

-1 tsp pepper

- 1 tbsp of mayo

- 2 hoagie rolls

Directions:

1. Add olive oil and butter to a large skillet over medium heat.

2. Generously season thinly sliced chicken with poultry seasoning, salt, and pepper.

3. Add chicken to skillet and cook for 5 minutes, stirring every minute.

4. Add green peppers, mushrooms, brown sugar, soy sauce, and balsamic.

5. Continue cooking, stirring occasionally for 15-20 minutes or until any liquid is absorbed and chicken and veggies start to really caramelize…Brown food tastes good!

6. Add more salt and pepper to taste.

7. Spread mayo inside hoagie rolls, and place provolone cheese on both sides, and add chicken and veggies in the middle.

8. Wrap each sub in tin foil and place in oven at 350 for 5-10 minutes or until bread is warmed and cheese is melted, ENJOY!

Tips:

- You can customize this recipe to your liking by adding or substituting different veggies.

- You can add a sprinkle of cinnamon when you add the veggies to the pan for a unique (but delicious) twist.

- If you have leftovers, you can reheat them gently in the microwave. They also make a great salad topping or a wrap filling.

The Trusted Kitchen's allium free poultry seasoning is not only safe for people with allium allergies or intolerances, but also delicious and versatile.
